Before PCBA processing, there is a process that many PCBA manufacturers will ignore, that is, baking board. Baking board can remove moisture from PCB board and components, and after PCB reaches a certain temperature, flux can better combine with components and pads. The effect of welding will also be greatly improved.

1、 Instructions for PCBA baking board processing:

1. PCB baking requirements: the temperature is 120 ± 5 ℃, generally baking for 2 hours, counting from the time when the temperature reaches the baking temperature. The specific parameters can refer to the corresponding PCB baking specifications.

2. PCB baking temperature and time setting

(1) If the PCB with manufacturing date within 2 months is sealed and unpacked for more than 5 days, bake at 120 ± 5 ℃ for 1 hour;

(2) PCB with manufacturing date of 2 to 6 months shall be baked at 120 ± 5 ℃ for 2 hours;

(4) PCB manufactured from 6 months to 1 year shall be baked at 120 ± 5 ℃ for 4 hours;

(5) The baked PCBs must be processed within 5 days, and the unprocessed PCBs need to be baked for another hour before they can be put online;

(6) PCB that is more than 1 year from the date of manufacture can be baked at 120 ± 5 ℃ for 4 hours and sprayed with tin again.

3. PCBA processing and baking method

(1) Most large PCBs are placed horizontally, with a maximum of 30 pieces stacked. Take out the PCB from the oven within 10 minutes after baking, and place it horizontally at room temperature for natural cooling.

(2) Most small and medium-sized PCBs are placed horizontally, with a maximum of 40 stacked. The number of vertical PCBs is unlimited. After baking, take out the PCB from the oven within 10 minutes, and place it horizontally at room temperature for natural cooling.

4. Components that are no longer used after repair do not need to be baked.

3、 PCBA baking requirements:

1. Regularly and regularly check whether the material storage environment is within the specified range.

2. Personnel on duty must be trained.

3. If there is any abnormality in the baking process, relevant technicians must be notified in time.

4. Anti static and thermal insulation measures must be taken when contacting materials.

5. Lead materials and lead-free materials need to be stored and baked separately.

6. After baking, it must be cooled to room temperature before online or packaging can be arranged.

4、 Precautions for PCBA baking:

1. Wear insulating gloves when the skin contacts the PCB board.

2. The baking time must be strictly controlled and cannot be too long or too short.

3. The PCB board after baking must be cooled to room temperature before going online.
